Starting point:
The client needed a wet room as soon as possible to enable discharge from hospital after a leg amputation due to complications from sepsis.
Local authority funding for the project was unavailable as an application would have delayed their exit from hospital.
Work carried out:
Bambers agreed to carry out the project as pro-bono work, upgrading an existing bathroom to a high-spec, fully tiled wet room.
We worked with our supply chain to procure the necessary materials to ensure the wet room was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Result:
The client was over the moon with his wet room and commented on what a significant improvement the work had on his daily life and independence.

Starting point:
A wet room was required for a client receiving end-of-life care. A rapid start on site and turnaround of the project was essential.
Work carried out:
Bambers stripped the existing bathroom suite back to brickwork, with our in-house M&E teams fixing plumbing and electrics ready for the plasterers to dryline the room.
The walls were fully tiled and non-slip safety flooring was fitted, with specialist sanitaryware installed to meet the client’s specification. A new sliding door to the wet room ensured the area remained accessible for the client while retaining their privacy.
Result:
Work was completed in five working days and started within two weeks of us receiving instruction from the client.
Full handover was completed with the client to ensure their complete satisfaction with the end result.
