Extension Manchester

Starting point:
A two-storey extension was required to an existing detached property, along with extensive internal alterations in a privately funded project.
Work carried out:
The extension was designed, and existing walls and openings reconfigured, to create a new open plan living area. The ground floor was made up of an adapted kitchen and utility room, with the first floor including a new bedroom and en-suite.
Result:
Bambers led the project, coordinating sub-contractors and liaising with the client and architect at all stages. The property required significant work to ensure it met the client’s needs, as well as the modern design brief, and the desired outcome was achieved to our usual high standards.
Extension Lancaster
Ingleton Drive, Lancaster
Starting point:
A one-storey extension was required to an end terraced property as well as extensive external adaptations. The project was part of a competitively priced tender process for Lancaster City Council.
Work carried out:
We created a level-access wet room, bedroom and dining area as part of the new extension, which was part of a backyard area.
The incline of the embankment at the front of the property was a significant barrier to creating level access from street level, so we engineered new access[JB1] ramps to ensure the resident was able to get into their property with ease. The new access ramps were connected to the side of the property leading to the rear yard area and new extension.
Result:
The project was successfully completed, with the client pleased with the professional standards of the work.
