The Boathouse Youth Project represents a significant investment in community infrastructure in Blackpool. This project was designed to enhance youth facilities and create a welcoming, accessible space for young people and local residents. The works were delivered in line with a phased programme to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency. The structured timeline enabled a smooth construction process while ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

· Full groundworks including excavations, drainage, and foundation slab construction

· Structural enhancements for long-term durability and accessibility

· Upgrades to external areas, ensuring compliance with modern safety and inclusion standards

· Logistical Constraints: Working within a densely populated area required careful planning to reduce impact on neighbouring properties and community services.

· Budget and Funding Limitations: Funding constraints emerged during delivery, creating challenges in completing all areas of the works to the intended specification.

· Supply Chain Social Value Collaboration: In response, Bambers coordinated a fantastic social value partnership across our supply chain a true example of collaboration and community spirit. Our trusted suppliers stepped forward to contribute materials and services, ensuring the project was completed to the highest standard without compromising on quality.

o Pennine Flooring supplied vinyl flooring for the main hall, along with carpet tiles for the office areas and upstairs gym, all free of charge.

o Howdens provided the reception desk free of charge, helping create a welcoming, professional entrance area.

o Johnsons Paints generously supplied paint for all additional areas not originally included in the schedule, ensuring a consistent finish throughout the building.

o Budget Blinds supplied blinds free of charge for the reception and office areas, enhancing comfort and usability.

o Links Signs & Graphics provided discounted signage, supporting the final presentation of the facility.

· Environmental Considerations: Ensuring works were carried out sustainably, aligning with local authority environmental targets.

Working with Bambers on the Grange Park Youth Centre renovation has been exceptional.
