Bambers Appointed to Support Preservation Works at Blackpool Salvation Army Building
Bambers Building Contractors has recently been appointed to undertake essential temporary repair works at the Salvation Army building in Blackpool a prominent listed structure and valued part of the town’s architectural heritage.
The building, which features a distinctive tower and traditional brick and stone construction, has experienced areas of deterioration that have led to water ingress. To mitigate further damage, Bambers will be carrying out targeted temporary repairs to the tower, focusing on stabilising and protecting vulnerable sections of the masonry.
These works are an important interim measure, designed to prevent further deterioration while plans for more comprehensive restoration works are developed and scheduled.
Working on a listed building requires a sensitive and informed approach. Our team will ensure that all temporary interventions are carefully executed to respect the historic fabric and character of the structure, while delivering the practical protection it currently requires.
This appointment reflects Bambers’ continued involvement in the preservation of heritage buildings across the region, supporting clients in maintaining and safeguarding important community assets.
