The Poulton Library refurbishment project was commissioned to upgrade the existing library facilities, improving accessibility, energy efficiency, and functionality for the local community. The works were undertaken on behalf of a local authority client, aiming to modernise the space while preserving its vital role as a community learning and engagement hub.

The project was delivered over a 12 week period, with phased works carefully programmed to minimise disruption to ongoing library operations and surrounding public areas. The refurbishment focused on enhancing building performance, safety, and usability while maintaining continuous access for the local community wherever possible.

How We Delivered

Window & Glazing Upgrades

Full window replacement with high-performance UPVC glazing to improve insulation and reduce energy consumption.

Internal Layout & Meeting Space

Installation of new partition walls using the Truline System 3000 FD30, creating a meeting room with integrated blinds, fire rated glass, and power/data points.

Fire Safety Enhancements

New FD30 fire doors with full height vision panels, alongside upgraded smoke alarms and system improvements to meet current safety standards.

External Envelope & Cladding

Comprehensive cladding replacement including vapour barriers, insulation, and vertical composite boards for durability and weather resistance.

Internal Finishes

Decorative wall finishes and optional ceiling treatments to improve aesthetics and user experience.

Final Completion & Handover

Full sparkle clean ensuring the facility was ready for immediate use upon completion.
