With our overarching aim to deliver best value to our clients at all times, our collaborative approach to managing our supply chain is in line with our partnering ethos. Combined with our use of local suppliers and subcontractors, we are able to fully capture the synergies offered by these working methods, such as:

  • Reduction in carbon emissions 
  • Reduced waste (and therefore costs) arising from excellent communication practices 
  • Increased productivity
  • Increased spend/investment in local communities contributing to the levelling up agenda

As a signatory of the government’s Prompt Payment Code, our suppliers can rest assured their invoices are paid within a maximum of 30 days at all times.

Subcontractors

We pride ourselves on our long-standing relationships with local subcontractors, some of whom have been working with us for over two decades. We are always on the lookout for subcontractors to join our tried and trusted subcontractor list, developed over many years . Whilst price is always a key aspect of our award process, preference will be given towards subcontractors who display the following characteristics:

  • Health and Safety acumen – A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on site, protecting both the workforce and the residents we serve.
  • Quality Assurance – Delivering workmanship that consistently meets specification and regulatory requirements, ensuring long-lasting results for councils and housing associations.
  • Strong Human Capital – Investment in staff skills through training and development
  • Sustainability – Using sustainable resources, eliminating waste and reducing carbon output

All our self-employed subcontractors are paid within 1 week of invoice receipt in order to aid their cashflow.
